What Does TVET Stand For?
TVET stands for Technical and Vocational Education and Training—a practical skills-based learning program aimed at helping Nigerians transition into viable career paths or start their own businesses.
Program Options Available
Applicants can choose from two major pathways under the TVET initiative:
- Short-Term Certificate (STC) – 6 Months : Best suited for first-time learners, school leavers, or those without formal education.
- Vocational Education & Innovation (VEI) – 1 Year: Ideal for individuals with some basic education or informal training experience who wish to deepen their knowledge and skills.

The program is open to all Nigerian citizens—whether you are:
- A job seeker
- A fresh graduate
- A school leaver
- Someone without formal education
There is no restriction based on academic background.
Documents Required for Application
To apply, make sure you have:
- Your personal information
- BVN (Bank Verification Number)
- NIN (National Identity Number)
Proof of any previous learning (if available), such as:
- First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
- Apprenticeship or informal training certification
- Certificates from community, religious, or NGO-run educational programs

- Step 2: Start Application
Click on the “Apply” button to begin your registration.
- Step 3: NIN Verification
- Enter your NIN and date of birth.
- Then provide your phone number and email address.
An SMS confirmation will be sent to you to verify your identity.
- Step 4: Create Your Account
Once verified, you’ll be redirected to your dashboard.
- Step 5: Choose Your Program
Select either the STC (6 months) or VEI (1 year) program and proceed.
- Step 6: Complete and Submit Your Application
Fill in all required details and upload the necessary documents before submitting.
